Purchasing & Sending
You will receive two emails when purchasing an eGift Card:
- “We Have Received Your Order”
- “Your Hallmark eGift Card order is complete”
Your order is complete when you receive the second email.
Once the recipient has received the greeting card, they will scan the QR code, enter the 4-digit PIN, and click Continue to view the eGift Card.
Using the email titled “Your Gift is Ready!”, click on the “Change/Resend Email” option and input your recipient’s email address.
Yes, you have the option to update the email address and Resend the “Your Gift Is Ready!” email by clicking the “Change/Resend Email” option in the original “Your Gift Is Ready!” email. You can then edit the recipient email address and resend. Please note, the email address on file with the order may not be the email address that is most current. Be prepared with the original email address used to place the transaction before calling customer service.
No, once your order is complete, it cannot be changed.
You may not return or cancel your eGift Card after it is purchased. All eGift Card sales are final.
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards are accepted on this site.
Your credit card will be charged once you receive the "Your Gift is Ready" email. This purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as THEGIFTCARDSHOP.COM/HALLMARK.
Once your recipient scans the QR code in their greeting card, the eGift Card is typically sent within 1 hour but it can take up to 24 hours.
The recipient receives a digital version of a gift card that can be used at the selected brand/retailer. The eGift Card Orders can be accessed/received by the recipient by scanning the QR Code on the Hallmark Greeting Card, entering the 4-digit PIN, and clicking Continue.

The purchaser can check if the recipient has opened their eGift Card by clicking the link in the “Your Gift is Ready” email. If they have opened/viewed their eGift Card, there will be a single sentence noting when the card was accessed.
Receiving & Redeeming
Your eGift Card will be activated upon order completion.
You will only be charged the purchase value of these eGift Cards.
eGift Cards are redeemable at Hallmark.com by adding the eGift card number and PIN during the check out process.
Make sure the balance of the eGift Card is more than the entire cost of the purchase, including taxes.
Applicable eGift Cards can be added to a digital wallet for in-store use at approved retailers. To add a card to your digital wallet:
- Open the Wallet/App on your device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for applicable eGift Cards
- Not all eGift Cards can be added to a digital wallet. For those cards, it is recommended to treat the Greeting Card containing the QR Code as the gift card and not misplace or throw it away until the eGift card has been redeemed.
Reach out to the person who sent you the card. If they have the email with the subject line of “ Your Gift is Ready!”, they can forward you the codes via email to allow you to redeem.

The eGift Card has not been activated. Reach out to the person who sent you the card. They may not have completed the eGift Card purchase process.
If the sender did not reveal the QR code to initiate the purchase, the eGift Card has not been activated.
Most eGift Cards can be used at the merchant’s retail locations and online at the brand’s website. However, since every brand is different, please refer to their specific terms and conditions found on each brand’s product page.
Hallmark branded eGift Cards are redeemable at both Hallmark.com and in participating Hallmark Gold Crown stores.
- Be sure to know your balance before you shop. To use your eGift Card along with another form of payment, just tell the cashier how much you want to apply to each payment type. Please note, not all merchants allow split payment transactions.

No, we cannot transfer your funds onto a physical Gift Card.
eGift Cards cannot be used at ATMs, nor can you get cash back from any of your purchases.
